PIERS Global Intelligence Solutions Selects Quadrant Communications to Design and Produce Quarterly Online Newsletter

New York, Dec. 6, 2004 - Quadrant Communications announced today that it will design and produce Trade Horizons, a quarterly online newsletter for PIERS Global Intelligence Solutions, a unit of Commonwealth Business Media, Inc., and the leading provider of world trade intelligence. Through online newsletters and subscription databases, PIERS gives clients the who, what, when, and where of global commerce. PIERS verifies, enhances and organizes this data to create comprehensive intelligence about exporters, importers, cargoes, waterborne trade, and regional markets.

"Quadrant will design and produce Trade Horizons within PIERS' existing branding guidelines and will ensure the newsletter's navigation is intuitive for subscribers," says Robert Noltenmeier, Quadrant executive vice president and principal. "Quadrant will work with PIERS and with Dennigan Associates, an editorial services firm, to provide subscribers with easily understandable content, including trade analysis, tables, charts and graphs that plot global commerce."

PIERS maintains comprehensive databases of timely, accurate, import and export information on cargoes moving through all the ports in the U.S., as well as strategic points of entry in Latin America and Asia. This import information is obtained from vessel manifests required by the U.S. Customs & Border Patrol. The database is updated continuously - PIERS collects data from over 25,000 bills of lading every day. Trade data from the Americas and Asia is gathered from Customs authorities. PIERS verifies the data, translates it into meaningful intelligence and publishes the information online. Subscribers use it to identify gobal business opportunities.
