New York, Jan. 4, 2006 - New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU SCPS) Center for Marketing has invited Bob Noltenmeier, executive vice president and principal of Quadrant Communications Co., Inc., to teach The Corporate Communications Writer for Spring 2006 and Introduction to Corporate Communications for Summer 2006. The courses are part of the NYU SCPS Certificate Program in Public Relations and Investor Relations.

"This is the third time I'll conduct these courses," says Noltenmeier, who has taught at NYU since September 2004. "Each semester brings a fresh group of students from around the world with new and different expectations. Fortunately, with all the technology now available to corporate communicators, I can keep the course interesting and up-to-date and help prepare my students for a successful future in the profession wherever they practice it. Preparing for the courses lets me keep up with what's new and exciting in the field-and it's still an exciting field."

The courses emphasize defining communications strategies and using writing as the primary tactic to achieve specific objectives as part of those strategies. "Clear strategies and good writing, regardless of the medium, are essential to the basic skill set of a successful corporate communications professional," says Noltenmeier.

"The classes offer writing exercises coupled with constructive feedback on assignments typically required of professionals in a corporate setting and in both traditional and new media," he says. "Students gain practical experience by researching, conceptualizing, and writing mission statements, speeches, annual reports, PowerPoint presentations, internal publications, crisis communications press releases and other key executive and business documents."

Noltenmeier also conducts writing seminars for professional groups, such as the International Coaching Federation, and for Quadrant's clients.
